Under the heading The Age of Experience, AIL will present works by 31 Hong Kong artists from the field of New Media Art, animation, film and photography who previously studied or are currently enrolled at the School of Creative Media at the City University of Hong Kong. Founded in 1998, the School of Creative Media – located in the distinctive Daniel Libeskind building in Kowloon Tong since 2011 – has become an important hub for creative media and New Media Art in Asia. The 2016 International Symposium on Electronic Arts (ISEA) in Hong Kong and its slogan 'Cultural R>Evolution' once again confirmed it to be the field’s leading education and research institution. A 2015 cooperation agreement between the University of Applied Arts Vienna and the School of Creative Media has made possible the exchange of research findings and visiting exhibitions.
