In her presentation, the architecture researcher and forthcoming Yale professor Mae-ling Lokko discusses the role of the architect in un-alienating different actors and materials that surround the building material life cycle and presents her research and design experiments with coconut, mycelium and the moringa tree.

A wall made of coconut fiber modules by Mae-ling Lokko and her team is part of the exhibition Ecologies and Politics of the Living, on view until 3 Oct 2021.
